Venue change announcement
Dear Waterworks family,
Waterworks 2026 is unable to take place at Gunnersbury Park on September 12th & 13th. It will instead take place at The Cause on the same dates for a very special, one-off 36-hour marathon event over seven spaces.
It is with real sadness that we announce this year’s festival cannot take place in Gunnersbury Park, as the park has not yet been provided with the necessary planning permission to operate on the relevant dates in 2026.
This situation is completely out of our control and that of Gunnersbury Park.
For transparency, as an independent promoter this delay in the permission being granted impacts us in the following ways:
-
We would need to commit to hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of infrastructure orders, supplier and crew commissioning, with no certainty of permission in place.
-
The event would be uninsurable due to the lack of confirmed planning permission.
-
Ethically, we are not prepared to risk not being able to pay our staff, artists, suppliers, freelancers and crew, many of whom have already committed so much in creating Waterworks with us.
-
Morally, we are not prepared to risk being unable to afford to refund ticket holders.
We hope that you can understand why this decision has had to be taken.
A one-off 36-hour marathon party at The Cause
We have worked tirelessly to relocate this year’s event and - thanks to the wonderful team at The Cause - we are excited to announce that for one-year only, we will take Waterworks Festival to one of London's finest electronic venues.
We bring you Waterworks Extended.
A 36-hour continuous dance at The Cause.
A spectacle never dared before.
Extended hours. Extended sets. Extended music. Extended production.
Outdoor by day. Indoor by night.
The full confirmed lineup can be viewed on the artwork below.
Set times will be announced as soon as we have them confirmed.
Artists’ set times will align with their originally booked day.
All tickets remain valid for Waterworks Extended.
Full updated ticket terms and details will be emailed to existing ticket holders very shortly.
We will miss our home at Gunnersbury Park, and plans are underway to return in 2027 - but for this year we would deeply appreciate your support by joining us on our new adventure at The Cause - however, if you choose not to, then full refunds will be available to ticket holders.
